WEEK
6 ASSIGNMENTà IS THE TIME & COST OF SOCIAL
MEDIA MARKETING WORTHWHILE?
Hello everyone! A new week again! I guess
time flies so fast 😊
How was your day?
For this new week’s assignment, let’s
discuss if the time and cost of social media marketing is worthwhile or not.
Personally, time and cost are both essential factors to market something
online. The more time you spend or invest, the more you will get a good result.
Since social media and marketing have a strong connection with both the
customers and investor, we need to get more people’s attention by showing our
best efforts online. Also, there are many advantages and reasons why we should
spend our time in social media marketing. One of the main reason is that we can
attract investors faster through a social media as a marketing tool,
improvised, and systematic form of communication. Moreover, in the world of
finance, where time is money, social media networks like Facebook, Instagram
and Twitter are the best way to reach out to the audience, as well as gather
market knowledge on their mindset. To talk about my personal experience
shortly, when I scroll down pages on Facebook, I wondered how those ads can get
enormous numbers of likes and followers. Then, I realized this when I started
to promote my mother’s business online. We need to invest quiet amount of money
to buy those followers or likes. For instance, if we spend $10 for a couple of
days, only a thousand of people are able to see the ads. In other words, if you
spend more amount of money, you get great number of likes, which means majority
are able to see you’ promotions. Thus, the key point I want to say is that cost
of social media marketing definitely seems worthwhile.
I wish social media marketing could only
have advantages, but nothing can have only the good side. There aren’t control
on social media so marketers retain control of the messaging. This can be great
if people love one’s business, but it can also be chaos at the same time.
Facebook and Twitter allow anyone and everyone to share their opinions, which
can be an interesting conversation, but perhaps it can be dangerous for
marketers. First of all, we can receive negative feedbacks. Not all customers
would like products and make them to leave angry rants about your business
online. When other customers view these negative feedbacks, they would turn
back their attractive mind. Also, time can be a disadvantage too. I
aforementioned that investing time is an important feature, but this can also
be a minor. Marketing something online takes a lot of effort and time to
maintain an interactive social media presence. Marketers cannot avoid a single
question that customers have, so they need to monitor each social network,
respond to questions and feedback. Therefore, social media marketing has good
factors, but also some negative effects at the same time.
